Project : Studies of Transport Phenomenon in a Complex Plasmas

PhD Dissertation : Experimental and Molecular Dynamics Studies of Transport Phenomenon in a Complex Plasmas
  • Derived an autocorrelation function for spontaneous density fluctuations for strongly coupled complex plasma using the generalized hydrodynamic framework.
  • Corroborated the analytical results with computational modelling using kinetic simulations of complex plasma using high-performance computing (HPC) platform.
  • Commissioned an experimental device based on conceptual design to perform relevant laboratory experiments for validating the previously obtained analytical and computational results.
  • Developed plasma diagnostics for experiments including electrostatic probes and fast speed imaging for particle imaging velocimetry.
  • Experimentally studied temperature gradient driven transport of particles leading to pattern formations in dusty plasma.
  • Upgraded the experimental setup to multi-dimensional dusty plasma configurations for studying wave-wave non-linear interactions.
